#273 Kim Pink - 2010 Archibald Entry (1800 x 1200mm) $ 4259.- Mr Kim Pink is a Teacher at The Hunter School of Performing Art, being a Saxophone player, teacher and a band leader he is always behind the music. I decided to paint him behind the instruments and I also wanted to focus on the mechanical nature of the horns, emphasising the valves and metal. As he posed for the painting and was jamming along to Charlie ÔBirdÕ Parker, I really noticed the Mechanical clanking of valves and wind.
